Return from Leave of Absence Dates
Based on the term you plan to return from your Leave of Absence, your student status will be reactivated on the following date:

Early Return from a Leave of Absence
If you wish to return from your Leave of Absence sooner than originally requested, please submit the Early Return from Leave of Absence eForm, located in the Student eForms portal in Axess. You can begin submitting the eForm for the quarter for which you wish to enroll on the day after the Term Withdraw Deadline of the prior term. Please check the Academic Calendar for dates.
Returning After Being on a Discontinued Status for Undergraduates
Undergraduate students should visit Academic Advising’s Returning to Stanford page and complete a Request to Return and Register form.
Coterminal Students: Please note you must submit both the Request to Return and Register and Reinstatement forms to return to both programs.
Reinstatement for Graduate Students
Graduate students need to submit an Application for Reinstatement in Graduate Study (pdf). Approval is contingent upon departmental sign-off. Both an application fee and reinstatement fee apply.
