Overview

This page provides guidance on topics related to graduate degree programs as overseen by the Office of the University Registrar. Please use the links in the sidebar to find informational summaries on graduate processes and degree completion.

The Registrar’s Office monitors your progress against the university’s minimum progress requirements for a graduate or professional degree. You can review minimum academic progress requirements for graduate students in the GAP (Graduate Academic Policies and Procedure). The GAP is a collection of university policies and other information related to the academic progress of Stanford graduate students. The full text of all university policies, academic and otherwise, can be found in the university Bulletin.

Students pursuing a Joint Degree Program can find information on approved programs and JDP-specific policy in the Bulletin. Information for undergraduates can be found in the Undergraduate Degree Progress section of this website.
