Certified Electronic Diploma (CeDiploma) FAQs
Can I print my CeDiploma?
A Certified Electronic Diploma or CeDiploma is for electronic use only. A CeDiploma can be viewed using Adobe Reader/ Acrobat 9.0 or higher and cannot be printed, but can always be shared.
Can I obtain an electronic copy of my diploma if I graduated prior to Spring 2015?
Currently, a CeDiploma is only available for 2015 graduates and forward. If you would like an electronic diploma prior to this year, you need to request a replacement.
How soon after I graduate can I download my CeDiploma?
The CeDiploma will be available approximately 4 to 6 weeks after your degree has been posted to your record. You will receive an email when your CeDiploma is available for download.
Can I download the CeDiploma and send it by email to others?
Yes, you can download a copy of your CeDiploma, and email it to anyone you desire.
How do I know if the CeDiploma I received is valid?

Why does the certificate used to digitally sign the documents say CeCredential Trust?
CeCredential Trust is the branded name of the digital signature that Stanford University’s vendor uses to digitally sign the CeDiploma.
I am using a web browser to open the PDF, but it will not open properly.

Can I receive my CeDiploma if I have a hold on my record?
No. Stanford does not issue diplomas or CeDiplomas for current or former students who have holds on their accounts. To receive your paper or electronic diploma, you must resolve your holds.
What if I try to print my CeDiploma?
The CeDiploma has printing disabled so it cannot be printed. Your CeDiploma is official as long as it is digital. If you print it, it cannot be validated or used as an official document.
