Rick Ruvkun

Rick Ruvkun, graduated from Stanford and lives in New York City. He has spent the past decade of his 35- year career as a Director of Equity Research and as an equity portfolio manager at Lord Abbett. His entire career was in managing equities for clients. He has an engineering degree from Stanford and a Masters in Management from MIT Sloan School of Management. For the past five years, he has volunteered and taught an annual seminar on financial literacy seminar to post-graduate physicians at Columbia University. He volunteers as a Financial Credit Crisis Counselor volunteer as part of the Community Service Society of New York. He works one-on-one with low-wage individuals and families helping them improve their money management skills and increase their financial stability. He is a volunteer in financial literacy, mentoring college and graduate students, and math literacy for immigrant high school and high school equivalency students. Rick is the Treasurer of Central Queens Academy, a charter school in NYC. Rick would welcome the opportunity to help students achieve their financial objectives and create a framework for money decisions.
