Maria Briseno-Martin
Maria is Director of business development and investor relations at Bracebridge Capital, a $13 billion absolute return hedge fund. In this capacity, she shares responsibility for maintaining relationships with the firm’s diverse, global investor base and executing marketing and fundraising efforts of the funds. Maria joined Bracebridge Capital in 2013 after receiving her M.B.A. from Stanford Graduate School of Business. Maria previously worked at Goldman Sachs Principal Investment Area where she was a private equity and private mezzanine debt investor in the Merchant Banking Division. She also held roles at Morgan Stanley in the Investment Banking Division advising financial institutions and financial technology companies on M&A and capital raising activities during the financial crisis. She previously worked at Viking Global Investors on the COO team during her time at Stanford Graduate School of Business. She is an alumni admissions interviewer for the University of Pennsylvania and also is a Women's Circle leader for Stanford GSB Women's Circles. Additionally, she is an active VC investor. Maria graduated with her B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania in Political Science and International Relations. She and her husband, Philip, are the proud owner of Lorenzo, a labradoodle.
