Karin Moriarty

Karin received her Bachelor's Degree from the University of California at Berkeley in Dramatic Arts-Dance. Before coming to Stanford, Karin worked at the University of California at Berkeley with faculty and students. In 1996, she transitioned to Stanford as the Office Manager for the University Architect and Planning Office. In 2013, she become the Media Specialist for Land, Buildings and Real Estate (LBRE) in charge of assembling all the PowerPoint presentations given to the Board of Trustees by the Executive Team. LKSC and Y2E2 are amongst Karin's most favorited buildings on campus. In 2015 Karin joined the Student Services Center and is committed to working with students in providing a safe space to express themselves and feel whole. Karin is happy to rely on her teaching sensitivity and her innate skills for conflict resolution to aid students. Fun fact: Karin continues to teach modern dance and doing choreography as a guest artist in different places, here at Stanford TAPS, Berkeley, Palo Alto, Santa Cruz, and abroad. In 2003, Karin premiered her site-specific dance piece, "Along the River," as part of the Cantor's Arts Center Summer exhibit on Human and Nature at the Andy Goldsworthy Stone Rive sculpture.
