Isabel Cardenas

Isabel arrived at Stanford with $100, meant to last until winter break. She is a first generation Latina with a medical condition. Research shows Latinas or disabled people earn 57-64 cents to every dollar a white man earns. Isabel learned about personal finance to have the means to take on opportunities that people from a low income families often can not. Since graduating, Isabel works in the environmental nonprofit sector. She travels as often as she can. In the last few years, she has traveled to northern Europe, Canada, Mexico, and many national parks.
