How Do I Enroll through SimpleEnroll?

Plan a Class
Navigate directly to SimpleEnroll.stanford.edu or select the SimpleEnroll button from the Axess login page.
Confirm the term you wish to enroll in is highlighted in red if multiple terms are offered. To select a different term, click on the button with the term name you wish to select.
Search for classes by subject, course name, instructor or keyword and select enter.
Filter by instructor or select a class.
Select plan and follow prompted enrollment steps.
Review your selections, enter any required permission numbers if applicable, and if everything looks correct, select finish planning.
Batch Enroll from planned classes
Confirm all of your enrollment choices (ie selected units and grading basis) for all classes in your planner.
Remove any classes you do not want to be added to your study list from your planner.
Confirm the removal of unwanted classes from your planner.
Once your planner reflects all of the classes you want to add to your study list, select Batch Enroll to enroll in all classes.
Confirm successful enrollment, or review messages, and select OK.
Classes will now reflect in the ENROLLED classes section at the top of the page.
Enroll in a class
- Navigate directly to SimpleEnroll.stanford.edu or select the SimpleEnroll button from the Axess login page.
2. Confirm the term you wish to enroll in is highlighted in red if multiple terms are offered. To select a different term, click on the button with the term name you wish to select.
3. Search for classes by subject, course name, instructor, or keyword and select enter.
3. Filter by instructor or select a class.
4. Select enroll and follow prompted enrollment steps.
5. Review your selections, enter any required permission numbers if applicable, and if everything looks correct, click finish enrolling.
Drop or Withdraw from a class
You may drop a class up until the Final Study List deadline. After the Final Study List deadline, you have until the Course Withdrawal Deadline to withdraw from a class. Selecting drop after the Final Study List deadline will result in a "W" grade.
To drop or withdraw, select the class from your enrolled classes and select actions.
From the dropdown menu, select drop.
Select yes to confirm the drop/withdrawal.
The class will no longer show in your Enrolled Classes section.
Change variable units or grading basis
After you've enrolled in a course, you can make the following changes prior to the pertinent deadline:
- Adjust variable units (prior to the Final Study List Deadline)
- Adjust grading basis (prior to the Change of Grading Basis Deadline)
To make either change, follow the steps below.
Log in to SimpleEnroll.stanford.edu.
Open the details for the course you'd like to make changes to and select "Actions"
Select "Edit" from the list of course actions.
Select the grading basis and units that you desire and click Save.
